Survival Families is a special experience designed for parents and kids to work side by side, learn new skills, and build stronger bonds — all while enjoying nature. Through fun and simple outdoor tasks, families discover how to communicate, collaborate, and grow as a team. Whether you're building a small shelter or learning how to make a fire safely, every activity is adapted for young children and guided with care. This is not just a fun day outside — it's a way to create lasting memories while learning valuable life skills. What you’ll do together: • Survival Mindset – Learn how to stay calm, think clearly, and work together • Safety & Priorities – Understand how to look after each other outdoors • P.A.C.E. Family Planning – A simple method to think through backup plans: Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency • Build a Debris Hut – Create a cozy, natural shelter as a family • Knife Skills (Optional) – Practice safe cutting techniques using child-friendly tools • Fire Starting (Optional) – Explore different ways to make fire safely with supervision • Find & Clean Water – Discover how to make water safe to drink using nature What to bring: • Outdoor clothes and comfortable shoes • Thin gloves and insect repellent • Bottle of water • Optional: Fixed-blade knife & firestarter
